Our Basic Belief
We endorse seven core beliefs related to God the Father, Jesus Christ, the Holy Spirit, the Bible, salvation, and the end of time as essential to our Christianity.
SEVEN CORE BELIEFS
We believe . . . that the Scriptures/ the Bible are given by inspiration of the Holy Spirit. It is God’s flawless, revealed word to man. Hebrews 4:12; I Peter 1:23-25; II Peter 1:20-21; II Timothy 3:15-17; I Thessalonians 2:13
We believe . . . in only one true and living God, Creator of all things, eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, and that these three are co-eternal and of equal dignity and power.
We believe . . . in the deity of Jesus Christ; His miraculous conception by the Holy Spirit; His virgin birth; His sinless life; His substitutionary death on a cross; His bodily resurrection; His ascension to the right hand of the Father; His precious high priestly ministry in Heaven for His people and His literally imminent return.
We believe . . . that man was created by and for God; that by man’s disobeying God, every person incurred spiritual death, which is separation from God, and physical death as a consequence; and that all people are sinners by nature and practice.
We believe . . . the Lord Jesus Christ died for our sins and that all who believe in Him are declared righteous because of His sacrificial death and are, therefore, in the right relationship with God. Man is righteous through Jesus Christ and not by works. Romans 4:1-6; 5:17; I Peter 2:24. And that the sacrifice of Christ on the cross provides healing of the human body in answer to a prayer of one that believes. Isaiah 53:4-5; I Peter 2:24; James 5:14-15; Matthew 8:17
We believe . . . in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit indwelling all believers and thus enabling and empowering the life and ministry of the believer; that baptism in the Holy Spirit is given to believers who ask for it. Acts 2:4; Luke 11:13
We believe . . . in the bodily resurrection of everyone who has ever lived, the saved to everlasting life and blessedness and the lost, those who have rejected God’s forgiveness in His Son, to an eternity separated from God, to an everlasting punishment of those who have rejected God’s forgiveness in His Son
